Paw and Toes Photo Log

Hi, I’m Azmi from Meknes! Welcome to the paw cabinet. Twelve prints catalogued, each with a number, a date, a pose, and light notes. I keep a paw album: front paws monthly, same mat, same daylight. This is a collector’s log, not handling advice, I never pose paws, I photograph what is offered; sessions run one minute and stop if he moves. For nail or foot concerns I see a vet. Here: the collection.
PAW-001 to 004, the founding set, March. PAW-001: front pair side by side on the blue mat, 10:00 daylight, first catalogued print, slightly soft focus, kept anyway, first stamps stay. PAW-002: single front paw stretched forward during a flop, toes spread, fur between toes visible; acquisition: waited 20 minutes for the stretch, worth it. PAW-003: back paw cameo (rare, back paws appear only mid-groom), motion-blurred, filed as a curiosity. PAW-004: mud-season print, dusty toes after balcony day, wiped after, the only dirty print in the cabinet and therefore beloved. I note pose and light so photos compare: mat color, window side, flash never.

PAW-005 to 008, April, technique improves. PAW-005: first sharp toe-fur close-up, phone’s macro mode discovered by accident. PAW-006: the cabinet jewel, front pair perfectly parallel, daylight even, printed 10 by 15. PAW-007: flop-stretch toes-up, funny entry, most shown to friends. PAW-008: comparison pair with March’s PAW-002 side by side, toe fur visibly thicker post-shed, the collection’s first finding. The close-ups show tiny toes and fur change across weeks, exactly as hoped. PAW-009 to 012, May preview and duplicates policy. New rule: one print per pose per month, duplicates deleted same-day (34 deleted in April alone, burst mode is generous, the cabinet is strict). My sheet lists file names by month: paw-03-001 through paw-05-012, gaps numbered where blurred frames were culled, culls logged not hidden.
Cabinet rules for fellow collectors: same mat (blue, washable, retired from floor duty), same daylight hour (10:00 ± 30 min or the print waits), one minute per attempt, two attempts max per day, never wake a sleeper for a print. It is a sweet mini collection and a useful history of normal appearance, that second half matters: twelve dated prints of normal is the baseline I would show a vet if anything ever looked off. Until then it is twelve small joys in a folder, numbered like treasure because they are. If you start a cabinet: number from day one, cull ruthlessly, print the jewel. PAW-006 hangs above my desk and earns its wall.

Paw prints photographed by me on the blue mat at 10:00 daylight. Not vet advice. Collector’s photo log only.
Exhibition history and wanted list
Prints given, not sold: PAW-006 to my mother (fridge, reported daily viewing), PAW-007 to the friend who named the twist pose, PAW-002 to myself, desk frame, the soft-focus founder. Exhibition history: one (1) show, my hallway, twelve prints in a row, opening attended by the model asleep. Cull gallery, April: 34 deleted frames, categories logged, motion blur 12, wrong mat 6 (white towel days, incomparable), sleeping too curled 9, human finger in frame 7 (my thumb photobombs relentlessly). Wanted list pinned to the cabinet: hind-paw full sole (0 sightings, the white whale), both front paws mid-groom (2 near-misses), dewclaw close-up if macro allows. Acquisition strategy: patience, the 10:00 hour, and burst mode left running during flops. The cabinet’s motto, written on the folder in marker: number everything, keep the sharp one. Twelve prints, thirty-four ghosts, one jewel on the wall. Collecting continues first Saturday monthly, mat washed Friday before.
Loans and requests: PAW-006 requested twice more (declined politely, the jewel stays), PAW-004’s dusty toes requested by a friend documenting balcony season (granted, credited). Insurance against loss: month folder backed to my phone each first Saturday after shooting, plus the two printed jewels. Deaccession policy: blurred beyond rescue goes same-day, white-towel incomparables kept one month then culled (policy updated after I hoarded six, the cabinet has standards). Appraisal, sentimental: the founding soft-focus PAW-001, technically worst, valued highest. Every collection needs its flawed first treasure; the cabinet’s is a blurry pair of paws from March, kept forever, never exhibited. New collectors write asking where to start, answer: today’s paws, today’s light, number it 001. The mat is waiting.
Catalogue raisonné, spring: twelve prints, thirty-four ghosts, two loans, one jewel framed. The cabinet acquires monthly and culls daily, that asymmetry is the whole craft. PAW-013 expected with the next shed; the macro mode waits, the mat is washed, daylight booked for 10:00.
Visitor book quotes: best paws, strangest hobby, frame the blurry one. The cabinet notes all three and frames nothing new, wall space is finite, standards are not.
Cabinet open for viewing; quiet admired most.
Twelve prints catalogued, thirty-four culled, standards intact, jewel framed.
PAW-013 pending; daylight booked.
Number everything; keep the sharp one.
