Azmi's note My personal log from Meknes, not vet advice. Just what I did and saw tonight.

Clifford and Cleo came home at three months old and they turn seven months this week. Full-time couch potatoes, part-time chaos. Hunny buns, stinky babies, my whole evening. This is their half-year report: growth, chaos incidents, pair dynamics, and the synchronized diary problem. Personal pair log, not multi-rabbit advice; bonding and housing questions go to the rescue or vet in my house. Pairs grow up fast and synchronized. The diary keeps their baby months from blurring together.

Growth: month 3 to month 7

Arrival weights noted, monthly photos side by side to track growth, the pair strip shows two beans becoming two loaves in four months. Same pellets, endless hay, greens at six: the shared menu that built them. Milestones: first synchronized flop (month 4), first shared tunnel traffic jam (month 5, photographed), first joint couch claim (month 6, the potatoes took the left cushion permanently). That face broke the house: nuclear codes would be handed over on request. Seven months old and already running the couch, the room, and me. Adopted from a teacher, educated in mischief since, the teacher sends report cards (good), we send chaos photos (better).

Chaos log and pair dynamics

Couch time together after dinner, the shift starts 20:00, both potatoes deployed, one each side. Chaos incidents this month: curtain climb attempt (Cleo, foiled by height), synchronized 6am zoomies (both, survived by no one), hay-bag break-in (Clifford, crumbs everywhere, zero remorse). Pair dynamics observed: Clifford leads mischief, Cleo perfects it; Clifford claims spots, Cleo claims Clifford’s spots. The synchronized diary problem: they do everything together, so individual notes blur, solved with initial tags (C/C) per line. Related reading: my trust diary for the single-bunny version of these months, and hand-feeding notes for the treat politics of two. Month seven closes with both potatoes on the couch as I type. Whole evening, indeed.

Month eight preview and pair lessons

Coming next: the eight-month weigh-and-photo (shared scale session, tare per bunny, treats after, procedure from the Friday weigh-in playbook), the autumn coat watch (first moult together, brush rota planned), and the great tunnel expansion (second tunnel to end the traffic jams, or double them, data pending). Pair lessons for the file: feed simultaneously or face the stare (staggered feeding caused one 6am wake-up protest), photograph together monthly minimum (separate photos blur identities by week three), initial every log line (C/C discipline holding). The potatoes turn eight soon; the couch holds; the chaos compounds. Hunny buns forever, stinky babies always, whole evening promised.

Closing shift notes: potatoes deployed to couch 20:00 sharp, chaos level moderate, cuddles high. Month seven filed with photos, weights estimated by lift (scale session pending), mischief logged in full. The pair sleeps as I write this, synchronized breathing, shared cushion, one ear each touching. Whole evening, whole heart. Month eight, we’re ready.

The synchronized life: pros and cons

Pros of pair synchrony: one schedule serves both (feeding, play, couch shift, single timeline), mutual grooming witnessed weekly (the pile diaries overlap here), double the flops per evening (statistically significant joy). Cons: illness in one means watching both (vet visits doubled twice this year, both clear, wallet lighter), individual quirks blur (the C/C tagging discipline exists because of three separate mix-ups, including one misattributed binky), treat politics double in complexity (equal shares policed by four eyes). Net verdict from seven months: pairs multiply everything, including happiness, arithmetic the diary endorses. Advice-shaped residue for pair hopefuls: adopt bonded if possible (skips the whole dinner-date campaign), photograph separately monthly minimum, initial every line from day one. The potatoes demonstrate nightly that two is a multiplier, not an addition. Chaos squared, cuddles squared, evenings complete.

Diary methods for pairs

Method appendix for two-rabbit logging: initial every line (C/C), photograph separately monthly (identities blur otherwise), weigh on the same day (shared ritual, separate readings), log chaos jointly (mischief is a team sport). The synchronized diary problem solved by discipline: two columns, one page, initials always. Month seven’s page is full; month eight’s is ruled and waiting. The potatoes grow, the log grows, the couch holds both. Pair diary complete to date.

Evening check, tonight: potatoes on couch 20:00 sharp, chaos low, cuddles maximum. Month seven closes; month eight opens with scale, camera, and initials ready. Two bodies, one schedule, infinite evenings. Hunny buns, always.

Seven months down, lifetime to go, the potatoes set the pace and the diary keeps up. Couch potatoes, part-time chaos, full-time heart. Month eight, rolling.

Potatoes report: couch held, chaos logged, cuddles delivered. Seven months complete with honors in mischief and distinction in naps. The diary turns to month eight; the pair turns to the couch. Same time tomorrow, same potatoes, same whole evening.

Month seven ends with synchronized flops on my favorite cushion and matching hay crumbs down their chins. Clifford snores first, Cleo follows within minutes, and my whole evening settles exactly where it belongs.
