Silly Pictures Album (Room Messy, Girls Perfect)
same angle, same light my log photo
Azmi's note My personal log from Meknes, not vet advice. Just what I did and saw tonight.

I am Azmi from Meknes, and I now own a whole album of silly pictures. My girls are peak comedy: polite turn-taking, paws everywhere, mid-binky freeze frames that look like modern art. The room gets cleaned every evening, and they still manage to look very messy by noon. I promise the mess is theirs and the pride is mine. Tonight I picked seven favourites, and at this rate there will be seventy by month end. Silly is a renewable resource here.

My album rules are simple. Silly gets saved, blurry gets deleted, and any photo where a rabbit looks stressed gets cut no matter how funny the pose. I shoot in daylight, I never chase them for a shot, and I let them come to the camera. What follows is tonight’s award night, judged entirely by me, with categories invented to honour the specific genius of these two girls.

Award one: politest turn-taking

Picture seven wins politest turn-taking by a mile. One girl sits upright waiting while the other sniffs the phone, like sisters sharing one toy without a fight. In real life their sharing is less graceful, with plenty of nudging and shoulder barging, which makes this calm moment funnier. I sat on the floor, held the camera low, and they took turns approaching as if following a schedule. The runner-up licks my thumb mid-shot, which technically breaks the pose but keeps the spirit. Good manners, brief and shining.

Award two: most paws on display

The paws-out photo wins most limbs per frame. Both girls flopped at opposite angles with hind paws stretched, front paws folded, a full spread of toes pointed at the ceiling. Paws doing that thing never stops being funny, especially when one rabbit is upside down in spirit while the other poses like royalty. I counted six visible feet and one mystery toe. I checked claws while I admired, the way I do after sunset zoom sessions like the ones in my zoomies sunset diary, and everything looked neat and even. Then I took three more photos because restraint is not my gift.

Award three: best mid-binky freeze

Silly picture two is mid-binky, all twist and ears, caught at the exact hundredth of a second when joy looks absurd. Her body bends like a banana, her feet point in four directions, and her expression says she planned this perfectly. Half a second later she landed, shook her head, and sprinted behind the chair. I love freeze frames because they show energy my eyes miss in real time. The evening zoom hour produces most of them: a lap, a leap, a head flick, then a sudden flop as if dancing were exhausting, which it clearly is.

Award four: messiest room, happiest girls

The wide shot wins messiest room, happiest girls. Hay trails across the mat, a tunnel sits sideways, cardboard edges show fresh chew marks, and both girls gaze at the camera with total innocence. I cleaned in the evening, I swear it, and by afternoon the room looked lived in again. I have stopped apologising for honest mess in photos. A tidy room with bored rabbits would be worse. This room looks used because it is used: raced through, napped in, dug at, and loved hard. It reminds me of the camouflage chaos I captured in my mirror moment camouflage photos, where the background steals half the show.

Closing ceremony: the album grows nightly

Seven pictures tonight, seventy by month end, and no sign of the comedy slowing. One girl has started posing when she hears the camera click, lifting her chin like a professional. The other runs toward the lens until her nose fills the frame, which is technically a ruined photo and emotionally the best one. I back the keepers up weekly so a lost phone never eats the archive. Any worry about eyes, breathing, appetite, or movement goes to my rabbit vet quickly, because cameras record moments and vets judge health.

People ask how I get them to stay still, and the honest answer is that I do not. I sit on the floor, I wait, and I let curiosity do the work. A rabbit who approaches on her own terms holds a pose ten times longer than one who was placed somewhere. I keep sessions to a few minutes, I end with a hay reward and a forehead rub, and I never chase a shot I missed. Tomorrow always brings another silly face, another flop, another chance at the perfect frame.

Album grows, girls stay perfect, room stays messy, keeper stays delighted. I will keep shooting from floor level, keep the evening tidy honest, and keep deleting the blurry ones without mercy. If tonight’s batch proves anything, it is that two rabbits can turn an ordinary Meknes evening into an awards show with no script and all heart. Tickets are free, the stars accept hay, and the afterparty is a synchronized nap.
