First Sound On Video: My Boy Has A Voice

Azmi's note My personal log from Meknes, not vet advice. Just what I did and saw tonight.

First time I have caught my boy making sound on video! Honk-grunt-squeak, plus a front-foot stamp for emphasis. Played it eleven times. This post opens the audio archive: the inaugural recording (transcribed as best I can), the sound catalog so far, and the stamp’s context. Personal joy log, not behavior analysis. Bunny sounds are the best sounds. The diary now has audio memories too. Adorable especially with the stamping. Replaying it never gets old.

Sound log, entry one: the transcript

  • Happy sounds: honks, hums, tooth purrs, the known repertoire, all previously heard live
  • Foot stamp noted with context: excited, not scared, mid-zoomie arrival, dinner visible, verdict joyful (see the honk dictionary for stamp taxonomy)
  • Video saved with date, first of many, filed in the new audio folder, backed up with photos

Transcript attempt (phonetic, unscientific): short honk (greeting), grunt ascending (dinner spotted), squeak (corner turned too fast, surprise, not pain; context clear, flop followed). Play count: eleven opening night, three nightly since. Played it eleven times opening night, then showed the household (encore screenings: 4). Related listening: my night-sound library (sleep audio, doorway recordings), day audio joins night audio in the archive. First of many: recording two already captured (yawn exhale, filed).

Archive format and future recordings

Audio folder structure: date-named files, transcript lines beneath (phonetic, fond), context notes (zoomie arrival, dinner visible). Backup: phone plus cloud (sounds are memories too). Recording two already captured: yawn exhale (filed with the yawn record’s data), dawn stretch squeak (tiny, beloved). Wanted list: full binky soundtrack (honks plus thumps, the symphony), rain-night pile hum (seasonal), treat-bag rustle response chorus ( Pavlovian masterpiece). Recording ethics: never staged (sounds happen or they don’t), never loud-checked (no provoking), always dated. The diary now has audio memories too, eleven plays opening night was just the premiere. Soundtrack of the house, side A: honk-grunt-squeak with stamp.

Voice profile: my boy, documented

Vocal range observed: honks (happy, circling), hums (content, evening), tooth purrs (bliss, lap), grunt (emphasis, dinner), squeak (surprise, corners). Silent majority of the time, sounds are events, logged as such. Stamp accompaniment: front-foot, emphasis only (never fear, context distinguishes; fear stamps come with freeze, joy stamps with zoom). First sound on video: milestone-starred, replayed eleven times opening night, three nightly since. Adorable especially with the stamping, the combo is the signature. Bunny sounds are the best sounds: the diary’s audio motto, the house’s soundtrack, my nightly replay. Voice found; archive open; volume up.

Listening parties held: family premiere (encores demanded), friend screening (tears reported), solo replays nightly (eleven and counting, still fresh). Sound-request program: none (sounds arrive unbidden, archive grows organically). Dream recording: full nighttime symphony (pile hum plus 2am hay crunch, white whale of the archive, pursued patiently). Equipment wishlist: nothing (phone suffices; proximity beats gear). First sound remains the crown jewel: honk-grunt-squeak plus stamp, eleven plays opening night, eternal replays after. Voice documented; boy heard; diary singing. Volume up, forever.

Archive security: files tripled (phone, cloud, notebook sleeve with written transcript), formats redundant (video plus phonetic notes, future-proofing against codec rot). Access policy: family free, friends on request, public via diary (this post). Preservation priority: first sound (irreplaceable, backed thrice), yawn exhale (rare), dawn squeak (tiny, precious). Cataloguing standard: date plus context plus transcript attempt. The archive grows nightly; the Backup Bunny (me) maintains diligently. Sounds saved; boy heard; silence never (there’s always hay crunching somewhere). Audio forever.

Broadcast schedule: premiere replays nightly (eleven-count maintained out of tradition), new recordings as captured (yawn filed, squeak pending edit), guest features on request (family trained in silent listening). Ratings: eleven plays opening (record), nightly threes (steady), household humming along (converted). The boy has a voice; the diary has ears; the archive has everything. Honk on, stamp on, replay forever. Audio memories: the diary’s newest room, furnished nightly.

Sound check nightly: ears up for honks, stillness for hums, applause for purrs. The archive’s newest wing (audio) fills steadily: entry one legendary, entries two and three filed, symphony pending. First sound immortal; eleventh replay tonight; hundredth approaching. Boy vocal; diary listening; house humming. Audio eternal.

Volume up tonight and every night: the archive plays on loop in the diary’s newest room. Honk-grunt-squeak-stamp: the four-beat signature of one small boy with a big voice. Eleven plays opening night; hundreds since; millions in spirit. First sound; lasting sound; best sound. Replay forever.

First sound on video; eternal sound in memory. Honk, grunt, squeak, stamp, the boy’s whole voice in four beats, replayed nightly.

Voice found; archive open; volume up nightly. Best sounds in the house.

Honk on, stamp on, replay forever. Audio memories treasured nightly.

First sound; lasting sound; best sound. Replay forever and ever.

Voice documented; boy heard; diary singing nightly.

Honk on; replay on; love on.

First sound immortal; eleventh replay tonight.

Played eleven times; loved always.

Replay forever. Eternal. Best sounds ever.
